The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival runs through April, but the flowers keep their own calendar — a warm March pulls the bloom forward, a cold one pushes it into May. The growers publish daily bloom maps and we read them the morning we drive rather than promising you a field in advance.
Roozengaarde and Tulip Town are the display gardens. The commercial fields around them are the real thing: flat farmland in stripes of colour with the Cascades behind.

Worth knowing before you book
- Weekend traffic on Highway 20 in April is genuinely bad. Weekday mornings are a different trip.
- Wear boots you do not mind ruining. It is a working farm in a Washington spring.
