Washington is the second largest wine producer in the country and almost none of it is grown here — the fruit comes from the hot, dry east side, over the Cascades. Woodinville is where it is poured: over 120 tasting rooms, half of them in genuine warehouse units in the Warehouse District, the rest around the old brewery in Hollywood.
Three rooms in an afternoon is right; four is a slog. Almost everything closes at five, so this is an eleven o'clock start, not a two o'clock one. We will say that when you book rather than after.

Worth knowing before you book
- Tasting fees are yours — usually $15–35, and often waived if you buy a bottle.
- Washington requires charter authority to run paid wine trips. We hold it, and our insurance covers it. Ask any operator who is vague about that.
