Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle, always. Four guests or fourteen, the number does not change. That is the whole reason to book us instead of a coach seat: from roughly four people up we are usually cheaper, and above six it is not close.
My ship leaves at four. Can I reach Mount Rainier?
No, and we would rather say so now. Paradise is over two hours each way before you set foot on a path. Add disembarkation and an hour back at the gangway and you need close to eleven usable hours; a turnaround day gives you six or seven. Build it on the home page and the bar turns red immediately. Snoqualmie Falls and the city fit comfortably.
Where does the luggage go on a cruise day?
In the vehicle, with you, at no charge. That is the reason to take a van rather than a coach tour — no left-luggage office, no fee per bag, no detour back to the pier to collect anything before your flight.
Do you sell single seats on a shared tour?
Not today. Every tour we sell is private hire: your party has the vehicle to itself. Selling individual seats needs a separate Washington excursion certificate, and we do not hold it yet. When we do, it will appear here with a price beside it.
What happens if it rains?
It probably will. We build the order of the day around the forecast on the morning, not the plan we made a fortnight ago — glass, museums and the Boeing factory instead of viewpoints. Ask about The Rainy Day if the whole week looks wet.
Can you collect us from the cruise terminal?
Yes. Pier 91 at Smith Cove and Pier 66 on Bell Street, kerbside, at your disembarkation time. Tell us the ship and the all-aboard time and we build the day backwards from it.
How far ahead should we book?
For a summer weekend or a cruise turnaround day, two to four weeks. Off-season, a few days is usually fine. If you are asking today about tomorrow, call rather than fill in a form — we can often do it.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your pickup time, no reason needed. Inside 24 hours we will always try to move you to another date before anything else.
Do you take payment when I book?
No. Nothing is charged on this website. We confirm your day by email, usually within a couple of hours, and send a payment link once you are happy with it.
Is a gratuity expected?
Appreciated, never expected, and never added to your bill. Our drivers are paid properly either way.
Are your drivers guides as well?
Yes — the person driving is the person telling you about the place. Washington does not license tour guides, so ask any operator what their guides actually know. Ours live here.
What size are the vehicles?
An SUV for up to four guests, a van for up to ten, and a Sprinter for up to fourteen. Beyond fourteen we run more than one vehicle together — see the groups page.
Can you carry a wheelchair or mobility scooter?
Usually, but tell us when you book so we send the right vehicle. Do not turn up and hope; a folding chair is straightforward, a powered scooter needs planning.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, free, on request. We need the child's age and weight so we bring the right one.
Are park entry and attraction tickets included?
No, and we list every one of them on the tour page so there is no surprise. Mount Rainier and Olympic are $30 per vehicle. Boeing is $14 for the centre and $42 for the factory tour. The Space Needle, Chihuly and MoPOP are timed tickets you buy yourself.
Are you licensed and insured?
The company is registered in Washington (UBI 605 582 125) and commercially insured. We operate the same vehicles and drivers as Shuttle Seattle, our airport transfer side.
Can you take us to the airport at the end of the day?
Yes, and on a post-cruise day that is the usual finish — the tour ends at Sea-Tac with your bags, rather than back at the pier.
Do you run in winter?
All year. Winter is the season for the Boeing factory, the museums, Woodinville and Leavenworth's lights. Mountain roads are the exception and we watch the state road reports rather than guessing.
