Discovery Park is 534 acres of former army base on Magnolia bluff, and the largest green space in Seattle. The loop trail runs through meadow and forest along the top; the steeper walk drops to South Beach and the West Point Lighthouse, which has stood since 1881.
This is the stop for people who have had enough of downtown. It is a real walk, not a photo stop — allow an hour and wear something you can move in.
